He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Landtroop and Josie Landtroop; his brother Malcolm Landtroop; his sister-in-law Dorothy Landtroop; his daughter-in-law Joyce Landtroop; his great grandchild Travis Trailer Weldon Thornton; and his great great grandchild Zillyana Thornton.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Irene Landtroop; his children, DeWayne Landtroop (Barbara) of Laurinburg and Loretta Simpson (Elbia) of Raleigh; his siblings, Kenneth Landtroop (LaFern) of Whitesboro, TX, Lenda Davidson of Garner and Patsy Huntley (Wayne) of Garner; and his grandchildren, Rodney Landtroop (Renee) of Fuquay-Varina, Jeffrey Landtroop (Candice) of Morristown, TN, Ashley Morris (Bryan) of Elizabeth City, Travis Thornton (Jessica) of Waco, TX, Lyric Simpson of Raleigh, Angela Wooley (Tony) of Groesbeck, TX and Angel Partin of Elizabeth City. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
