She is survived by: her sons, Reginald L. Sowell (Alison) of Angier and Donald L. Sowell of Orangeburg, SC; her sister Thomasenna Huggins (Virgil) of Brooklyn, NY; and her grandchildren, Regina Sowell-Hollingshed, Shellee Myers, Micayla Sowell and Isaiah Sowell. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; five nieces.
