It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Surles Collins of Angier, North Carolina, who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Surles and Lucy Surles; her husband Eugene Lee Collins Jr.; and her siblings, Derry Thomas Surles and Karen Jean Surles Jackson.

She is survived by: her daughter Melody Page Dupree; her son-in-law Larry Glenn Dupree; her siblings, Kathryn Surles Minter, Donnie Ray Surles (Karen) and Lloyd Stuart Surles; her grandchildren, Ryan Matthew Dupree, Morgan Faith Surles, Brooke Blackman Cheng (Tien) and Caroline Paige Truelove (Norwood); her great grandchild Charlotte Grace Truelove; her stepdaughter Debbie Collins Lucas; and her stepgrandchildren, Ronnae Logan Page and Hayden Rae Deaver. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
