She is survived by: her children, Mary Tearry, Willie James Scurlock, Jr. and Cora Houston; and her sisters, Ruby Haywood of Willow Spring, Jennie Mae Scriven of Angier, Denise Scriven Highsmith of Morrisville and Marjorie Scriven of Durham. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.

There will be no repast at the family's house due to COVID-19.
