She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton McGee and Floy Velma McGee; her husband James Reece Cox; and her siblings, Annie Merle Hodges, Joyce Ferle Southerland, Brenda Verle Taylor, James Earl McGee, Robert Sherrill McGee, Elder Alton Derle McGee and Eugene Harold McGee.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Cox Penny (David Harold) of Benson, Jimmy Cox (Geneva) of Clayton, Pam Cox Parrish (Randy) of Angier, Teresa Cox Batten (Doug) of Four Oaks and Tabatha Cox Barbour (Joe Barry) of Benson; her grandchildren, Davey Penny (Angel), Brandon Batten (Jessica), Jonathan Cox (Kylie), Keri Penny, Shannon Beasley (William), Allison Nelms (Ryan), Taylor Allen (Chason), Matthew Parrish (Lauren), Kris Johnson (Lane), Katie Barbour and Cameron Barbour; and her siblings, Mavis Pearl Johnson of Four Oaks and Kenneth Terle McGee (Debbie) of Benson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
