She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Mangum and Mavie Mangum; her husband Bobbie Austin; and her siblings, Calvin Mangum and Mazelle Stephenson.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Austin Thomas (Roger) of Raleigh and Bobbie David Austin (Michele) of Angier; her grandchildren, Meredith Thomas Doble (Wes) of Raleigh and Rachael Thomas of Raleigh; her great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Ellie Doble of Raleigh; and her sister Rosa Lee Lasater of Lillington. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
