He was predeceased by: his parents, F. L. Davis and Bessie Hall Davis; his wife Eunice Hedden Davis; and his siblings, Herbert Davis, Francis Ussery and Reva Burnthorn.

He is survived by: his children, Sandy Solesbee (Kenneth), Ricky Davis and Jamie Davis (Kelly); his sister Shirley Bingham of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Keyton Davis, Wayne Davis, Tyler, Delaney Hilton, Hailey Ratliffe and Gabby Ratliffe; and his great grandchild Adalynn Ratliffe.
