She was predeceased by: her father Alex Fred; her former husband Clyde Martin; her husband Melvin West; her siblings, W. D. "Dub" English and JoAnn Grant; and her stepgrandson Drew Townsend.
She is survived by: her sons, Roger Martin (Mayra) and Darrell Martin (Virginia); her granddaughters, Katherina and Kaelyn Martin; her stepgrandchildren, Dustin Townsend, Michelle Moscatello, Dylan, Lilly and Adriana Townsend; and her siblings-in-law, Geraldine English and David Grant. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
