He was predeceased by: his parents, William Price and Alice Rebecca West Sherrill; and his sister Betty Ann Sherrill Oates. He is survived by: his wife Della Mae Bailey Sherrill; his niece Sherrill Oates of Traveler's Rest; and his aunts, Barbara West (Earl) of Andrews and Virginia D. Peterson of Virginia, Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Maurice Sherrill to the Kid's Food Bags Ministry, c/o Andrews First Baptist Church, PO Box 427, Andrews, NC 28901.
