He was predeceased by: his parents, Aston Dillard and Ethel Stiles Truett. He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Stewart Truett; his daughters, Shirley Hardin of Andrews and Linda Burris of Andrews; and his siblings, Richard Truett, Judy Huskins, Janice Ford and Dorothy Wilson.
