He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ben and Cora Thompson Barton; his former wife Sally Crawford Barton; and his granddaughter Selena Green. He is survived by: his wife Avalyn Barton; and his daughters, Robin Barton Hewett of Murphy and Donna Decker of Murphy. He is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
