She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hutchins and Eva Graham Hutchins; her former husband Paul Stroud; her husband James "Shorty" Martin; her brothers, Thomas "Bud" Hutchins and Alvin Hutchins; and also, Geneva Millsaps, Nettie Ledford, Marie Morgan and Juanita Kirkland.
She is survived by: her children, Eugene Stroud (Hazel), Bruce Stroud (Audrey), Johnny Laverne Stroud (Angie), Paula Ware (Tommy) and Ramona Hensley. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; her 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Townson-Rose Chapel (409 Kent St, Andrews, NC 28901). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
