He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bertha Nikl and Louis Nikl; his children, Kenneth Nikl (Susie) of Clarks Summit, PA, Terry Lain (Wayne), Sandy Harrison (Bill) of Baraboo, WI and Justine Nikl (Gil Leija) of Beloit, WI.; his grandchildren, Jason Antonson (Shannon), Justin Antonson (Heather), Clint Wolkow, Jennifer Stanton (Erik), Ben Harrison (Tiffany Carlock), Tim Harrison (Jenna), Jeremy Hause (Kari Baker), Macy McNair, Zachary Nikl (Louise) and Quentin Nikl; his sister Louella Jelen; his wife Marlys Nikl; his son Mark Nikl; and his granddaughter Nicole Hause.
When Marlys developed Alzheimers, Ed gave up his woodworking to lovingly care for her.
