With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dixie Straughan Peterson (Andrews, North Carolina), who passed away on April 28, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Inez and Clyde Straughan, Sr.; and her sister Melrose S. Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Donald V. Peterson; her daughters, Linda P. Greenway (George), Diane P. van Dijk (Stef) and Cathy P. Frazee (Damon); her brother Walter Clyde Straughan, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Sara, Meredith Greenway, Eric, Bryan van Dijk, Brandon and Tyler Frazee. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be sent to the music programs at either Trinity UMC or Wrightsville UMC.
