He was predeceased by: his father Paul "Brownie" Parker; his grandmother Anna Lenora Jones; and his brother Jerry Tatham. He is survived by: his mother Jeanette Jones Burchfield of Robbinsville; his wife Laurie Jones; his children, Allison Jones of San Diego and Thomas Jones (Cassie) of Charlotte; his stepdaughters, Nichole Palmer of Andrews, Andrea Colvin (Sean) of Allen and Cherilyn Ball of Hayesville; his siblings, Della Tatham of Andrews, Pamela James (Audy) of Hayesville, Paula Parker of Andrews, Mack Tatham of Robbinsville, John Tatham (Cecilia) of Blairsville, James Tatham (Regina) of Warner Robins and Mike Parker (Kelli) of Leesburg, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Kate Jones, Emma, Brady, Audrey Dana McLelland, Landry, Grayson Jones, Alaina, Leah Palmer, Penny, Kyla and Carly Colvin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Marble Springs Baptist Church (80 Marble Spgs Church Rd, Marble, NC 28905). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in memory of Dana Houston Jones to Andrews High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 50 High School Drive, Andrews, North Carolina, 28901.
