With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Meadows Davis Slagle in Andrews, North Carolina, born in Athens, Georgia, who passed away on November 27, 2021 at the age of 101. She was predeceased by: her husband John Robert Slagle, Sr.; her children, Terry Slagle-West May and David Slagle; and her brothers, John Davis of Pryor Langford and Robert Davis.
She is survived by: her son John Robert "Bob" Slagle; her sister Mary Margaret Davis; her grandchildren, Elaine Blackman (Trent), Mark West (Cathy), Sharon Haire (Scott), Allen West, Elizabeth Slagle Todaro (Corey), Lannette West, Alexis Slagle Gilroy (Bill), Wes Slagle (Jaclyn) and Kattie Slagle Hoy (Neil); and her daughter-in-law Dr. Patricia Slagle. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
