He was predeceased by: his parents, Colbert Effin Britt, Sr. and Grace Mae Britt-Keppell (Bassett); and his siblings, Colbert Britt, Jr., Joyce Riddell (Britt), Valaree (Britt) and Carter (Mike).
He is survived by: his wife Frances Britt (McSorley); his children, Core (Tom) of Tallahassee, FL, Elizabeth (Britt), Robert Britt, Jr. (Britt) of New Bern, NC, Cheryl (Britt) and Bowman (Paul) of Waxhaw, NC.; his grandchildren, Collin, Hayden, Clayton, Ethan Bramel, William "Dustin" Norris and Olivia Bowman; and his great grandchildren, Eliot, Emmet and Violette Bramel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
