It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Mills Sawyer (Alliance, North Carolina), who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Sawyer; and her son Bobby Lee Harris, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Judy Bowen (Eddie); her sisters, Louise Lee, Janice Brinson and Mary Salter (Charles); and her in-laws, Dewitt Sawyer (Annabell), Jackie Sawyer, Goldie Wells, Patricia Dail, Elizabeth Mitchell and Linda Mitchell. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
