He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sawyer and Mabel Sawyer; and his brothers, Linwood Potter, Bobby Potter and Carroll Sawyer.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Sawyer and Billie Jo Garris; and his sisters, Sandra S. Powers (Mike) and Janice S. Shorey (Miles). He is also survived by several grandchildren; many nieces & nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
