He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Shelton, Sr. and Carrie Louise Keever Shelton; and his brothers, Carl Shelton, Russell Shelton and Dick Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Ann Boggs Shelton; his children, Angela Rumfelt Stone (Larry), Edward Shelton, Benjamin Shelton and Anita Teague (John); and his siblings, Bobby Shelton (Charlotte) and Ruth Hawkins. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
