He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Bartlett Hager and Mary Mull Hager; and his wife Jean. He is survived by: his sons, Lou Hager (Diane) of Orange and Ron Hager (Gina) of Madras, Oregon; his grandchildren, Staci Christerna (Brian), Corri Hager, Kelly McGinnis Riley (Joseph) and Justin Hager; his great grandchildren, Jack Christerna, Owen Hager and Cole Hager; and his siblings, Dean Hager (Ann) of Alexis and Mary Lynn Hovis (Ronnie) of Alexis.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Mount Zion Baptist Church in Alexis.
