She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Munnings Thompson and Ruth Setzer Thompson Stallings; her stepfather Fred Stallings; and her siblings, Beatrice Howell of Kings Mountain, Richard Thompson of Maiden, Elizabeth Meeks of Alexis, Dorothy Hollingsworth of Charlotte, Carlos Stallings of Stanley and Donald Stallings of Alexis.
She is survived by: her husband William Joseph Buff; her children, Dr. Joe Buff (Janet) of New Bern, Janet Homesley (Bobby) of Alexis and Jim Buff of Iron Station; her grandchildren, Hope Homesley (Bobby Farmand), Heather Homesley of Alexis, Joe Buff (Amber) of Raleigh and David Buff (Mallory) of Ipswich, MA.; and her great grandchildren, Anders, Arianna Buff of Raleigh, Conner, Brayden and Gavin Buff of Ipswich, MA..
