She was predeceased by: her parents, Cephas Galloway and Lillian Stamey Galloway; her husband William "Bill" Buzzard; her sons, Roger Brown and Theodore Brown; and her sister Virginia Galloway.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Brown of Gastonia, Darrin Brown of Alexis and Sharon Brown Tallent of Alexis; and her sister Jean Lanier of Sunset Beach. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
