It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Vernon Truitt (Alexis, North Carolina), who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Broadus Wayne and Lorena Burgin Vernon; her brothers, Wayne and Gene Vernon; and her sister-in-law Debbie Vernon.
She is survived by: her husband Curtis Truitt; her daughters, Kimberly Bush (Tony) and Wendy Nicholson; her siblings, Terry Vernon (Debbie), Timmy Vernon and Cynthia Rabon; her nephews, Shea Vernon and Landon Vernon (Shay); her niece Jessica (Rob); her great-nephew Waylon Vernon; and her sister-in-law Ginger Truitt.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (2151 Mt Zion Church Rd, Alexis, NC 28006). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Mt Zion Baptist Church (2151 Mt Zion Church Rd, Alexis, NC 28006).
