He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Higgins and Mary Will Proffitt Higgins; and his former wife Joyce Rolland Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Cora Franklin Higgins; his children, Teresa Higgins and Ricky Higgins; his stepchildren, Stephanie McDonald (Dan) and Van Williams (Karen); his grandchildren, Stevie, Frankie and Stacy; his great grandchild Eli Sims; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Madden Foster Shook and Zailah Gibbs. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren.
