He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Franklin and Shirley Sluder Franklin; his siblings, Glenda Jean Franklin Cole and Ronnie Dean Franklin; and his uncles, Wyman Franklin and Buddy Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya Hensley (Anthony), Charlie Franklin (Ressie) and Joe Johnson (Kari); his sister Kathy Amos; and the mother of his children Patricia Franklin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
