He was predeceased by: his parent John Sherlin; and his wife Nellie Ruth Sherlin. He is survived by: his parent Orpha Fagan Sherlin; and his children, Carol Lynn Sherlin, Freddie Sherlin (Tammy), Wanda Stewart, Ruth Gimson and David Sherlin. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
