He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Charles LaPlante and Joyce Ann Brooks; and his brother Mark Allen LaPlante. He is survived by: his husband Roger Andrew Mann; his siblings, Janet McClellan (Robert) of Swannanoa, NC, Larry LaPlante of Spruce Pine, NC, David LaPlante (Tina) of Spruce Pine, NC and Mike LaPlante (Corey) of Swannanoa, NC; his aunt Judy; his cousins, Robin Padgett, Leslie O'Connor and Jerri Lynn Hansel; and his friends, Angela Chace, Robbie Fullbright, Robin Creson, Ruth Deese (Hinst), Robb Smith, Michael Snyder, Casey Wofford and Anne Irvine. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and two great great nephews.
