He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Hawkins and Clinton Hawkins of Alexander, NC.; his son Edward A. Hawkins (Eddie); and his siblings, Uyless, John, Ellis, Donald Hawkins, Georgia Green, Gaynelle Baldwin and Hazel Hawkins.
He is survived by: his son Howard C. Hawkins, Jr. (Howie); his former wife Elva Hawkins of Haw Creek; and his siblings, Alma Mehaffey of Greer, SC and Billy E. Hawkins.
Due to Covid 19 virus and restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
