He is survived by: his wife Thelma Huffman Shook; his children, Charlotte Shook of Alexander, Marsha Stines (Ken) of Canton, Christal Credle (Keith) and Mark Shook (Melissa) of Marshall; his grandsons, Justin Shook (Savannah), Cody Shook (Karri) of Asheville and Dylan Kiser of Clyde; his great grandchildren, James and Henry Shook; and his sister Judy Shook Ball (Morris).
