He is survived by: his parent Beulah Small Patterson; his wife Connie Lovin Patterson; his children, Amanda Patterson Johnson (Chris) of Statesville and Clint Franklin Patterson (Lori) of Hiddenite; his grandchildren, Brett, Cole, Luke Johnson, Riley Patterson and Caleb Patterson; his siblings, Donald Patterson (Alva Jean) of Morganton and Helen Jones (Ron) of Florida; his nieces, Glenda Poarch, Susan Badneck (Tom), Julie Broombaugh (Andrew), Leslie Mull (Travis), Jennifer Roy (Kenny), Erica Harmon (Harvey) and Heather Kaczor; and his nephew Josh Patrum (Tessa).
