It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fletcher Carter of Alexander, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Carter and Hazel Martin Carter; and his sister Judy Ilaine Carter. He is survived by: his wife Joan Davis Carter; his children, Judy Carter Davis (Clint) of Irmo, SC and Barry Carter (Yoshiko) of Alexander; and his grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Alex Carter, Jake Carter, Charles Davis and Hana Carter.
