She was predeceased by: her parents, Gayle R. Bartlett Grant and Russell Lee LaFleur; her son Russell Victor Penley; and her grandparents, Margaret "Granny" King, Patricia LaFleur, Hazel Grant, Ellsworth LaFleur and Wallace King.
She is survived by: her stepfather Donald Christopher Grant; her daughter Brittanie LaFleur; her siblings, Amy Farmer, Annette Grant and Donald Grant Jr.; her grandsons, Drayton Sweezy, Kayson LaFleur, Russell Lucus Penley and Melakai Penley; her aunt Vicki Hollifield (Tony); and her uncle Terry King (Evelyn). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (216 Shelburne Rd, Asheville, NC 28806).
