He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus A. Thompson and Mary Lucy Huneycutt Thompson; his wife Ruby Corbett Thompson; and his siblings, Carl Thompson, Ralph Junior Thompson and Joyce Ann Hughes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Memorial Park (2001 E Main St, Albemarle, NC 28001-9106).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to West Albemarle Baptist Church, 336 Church Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
