With solemn reverence, we commemorate Virran Crump of Albemarle, North Carolina, whose life came to an end on January 17, 2025 at the age of 70, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Virran may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Virran touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Smith Crump; his daughter Shannon Byrd (Wesley); his grandchildren, Maegen Byrd and Justin Byrd; his son Derrick Crump (Heather Misenheimer); and his sisters, Lesa Brock and Catherine Ponds.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Homes (120 College St, Norwood, NC 28128). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (32283 Bethlehem Church Rd, Norwood, NC 28128).
