He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Wilma Whitley Efird and Lewis Alonzo Efird. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Efird Thompson; his daughter Lori Thompson Booth (James) of Albemarle, NC; his grandsons, Jason Smith, Christopher Kiker and Jeremy Kiker; and also, Billy and Tabitha Huneycutt.
