He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Jack Wainwright and Vera Sweat Wainwright; and his wife Shirley Wainwright. He is survived by: his children, Angela Dick (Doug) of Albemarle, NC, Sherry Russell (Greg) of Albemarle, NC, Thomas Edison Wainwright, Jr. (Sonja) of North Wilkesboro, NC, Barry Jay Wainwright, Sr. (Tracey) of Concord, NC and Hugh Wainwright (Debbie) of Albemarle, NC; and his sister Marjory Lindsey (Robert) of Tybee Island, GA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
