He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Wilson Bowers and Nara Lee Poplin Bowers; and his siblings, Rev. Charles Bowers and Barbara Ann Coble. He is survived by: his wife Debra Herlocker Bowers; his children, Rodney Wilson Bowers of Midland, Ava Bowers Crayton (Tim) of Stanfield, Stacy Bowers Sabol (Dean) of New London, Jeramy Ray Bowers (Beth) of New London and Joshua Steven Bowers (Tangy) of New London; and his sister-in-law Elvene "Toot" Bowers. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
