With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Thompson of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald M. Thompson; her parents, J. D. Hill and Bessie Whitley Hill; and her mother-in-law Helen Cardwell Burris. She is survived by: her children, Todd Thompson, Sr. (Amanda) of Albemarle, NC and Tonya Guyton-Thompson; her grandchildren, Alex Thompson of Richmond, VA, Erin Thompson of Durham, NC and Brooklyn Guyton-Thompson of Peaks Island, Maine; her brother Robert "Bobby" Hill (Judy) of Albemarle, NC; her sister-in-law Margaret Hinson (David) of Albemarle, NC; and her father-in-law Ted Burris. She is also survived by many nieces, a nephew, numerous cousins and extended relatives and friends.
