Sue Almond Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2021, at the age of 83, Sue Almond of Albemarle, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hurley Deese and Kathleen Deese; and her sisters, Janet Cassell and Shirley Bowen. She is survived by: her husband Donald "Gene" Almond of Albemarle; her children, Danny Michael Almond (Rhonda) and Ginger Almond; her grandchildren, Suzann Almond, Matthew Almond (Tabitha), Brandy Strawn (Russell) and Adrian Love (Daniel Ridenhour); her great grandchildren, Jacob Watkins, Jaden Watkins, Brady Ridenhour, Zachary Almond, Ariel Almond, Waylon Strawn and Hank Strawn; and her sister Carol Hitchens (Jim) of Wilmington, DE.. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital, Canton Baptist Church, or Hospice of Stanly County & the Uwharrie.
