It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roderick Dale Funk of Albemarle, North Carolina, born in Cheboygan, Michigan, who passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Howard William Funk. He is survived by: his mother Merla Keetch of Virginia; his wife Dana Dean Kessler; his son Nathan Funk; his stepchildren, Jason Bright (Ellen) and Jamie Bright (Meghan); his siblings, Ralph Funk (Carla), Robin Hastings (Jim) and Ruth Barber (Jack); and his father-in-law Gerald A. Dean (Mercedes). He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews.
