He is survived by: his siblings, James Thomas Jr. (Sarah), Carl Thomas, Lou Esther Johnson, Mildred Hale (David), Frankie Clarke, Carolyn Saleem (Adil) and Twila Thomas; and his goddaughters, Amber and Kalah.
