He is survived by: his wife Melissa Fluharty Guthrie; his children, Donald Chancellor of Crouse, NC, Randal Chancellor (Amanda) of Oakboro, NC, Ian Guthrie of Albemarle, NC and Casey Guthrie (Jeonghyuk) of Albemarle, NC; his siblings, William Guthrie (Michelle) of Hurdle Mills and Judy Self of Oxford, NC; and his grandchildren, Brianna and Paisley.
