He is survived by: his wife Louise Almond Hardister; his son Ronnie Hardister of Albemarle; and his sisters, Laura Brown of Albemarle, Lucille Maner of Norwood, Shirley Hardister of Charlotte and Linda Justice of Indian Trail.
