He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vanderburg and Margaret Vanderburg. He is survived by: his wife Linda Vanderburg; his daughters, Meredith Clements (Nathan) of Albemarle and Beth Mabe (Shane) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Judson Mabe and Ivey Mabe (Kaitlyn); his great grandchild Daxon; his sister Gail Taylor (Don); and his sisters-in-law, Carol Peck and Barbara Hartsell (Jim). He is also survived by his family, especially his wife, his darlings, and his grandkids.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Lutheran Church (230 S 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001).
