He was predeceased by: his father Clifford Russell Erk; his grandsons, Marquis Erk and Dante Erk; and his sister Cindy Himpele. He is survived by: his wife Debra Mauldin Erk; his children, Jennifer Bradshaw of Lynchburg, VA and Patrick Erk (Jessica) of Lynchburg, VA; his grandchildren, Mark Bradshaw, Maggie Bradshaw, Cooper Bradshaw, Carter Bradshaw, Gabriel Erk, Julie Erk, Arabella Erk and Gabriel Logwood; his sister Karen Goodrich (Jim) of Boulder, CO; his brother-in-law Brian Himpele of South Bend, IN; and his pet Marley.
