He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Simpson (John) of Concord, Rena Page (Terry) of Millingport and Crystal Swinson (Mark) of Albemarle; his siblings, Gary Wells of Shelby and Sherry Wells of High Shoals; his grandchildren, Damien Simpson, River Simpson, Andrew Page (Beth), Nethanial Cline, Caleb Cline and Emma Wells; and his great grandchild Elliot Wells (Nugget).
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001).
