He was predeceased by: his father Richard T. "Dick" Forte; his wife Jan Ballard Forte; and his son Amos R. Forte. He is survived by: his mother Doris R. Forte of Albemarle; his siblings-in-law, Ed and Amy Brinson of Albemarle; his niece Jennifer Drye (Trent) of China Grove; his nephew Brett Brinson (Kassi) of Faith, NC; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Larson Drye, TJ Drye and Bryant Brinson; and his close friend Jan Forte.
