He was predeceased by: his parents, Reather Cornelius Furr, Sr. and Gladys Taylor Furr; his wife Phyllis Marbry Furr; his daughters, Susan Marie Underwood and Caroline Rebecca Norton; his grandson Garry Lee Lanham; and his brother Roland Anthony Furr.
He is survived by: his children, Cornetha Holcomb (Kyle) of Albemarle and Kelvin Furr (Christina) of Whiteville; his son-in-law Terry Underwood (Nina); his grandchildren, Brittany Norton Brady (Matthew), Lauren E. Holcomb, Gabrielle C. Holcomb (David McCall) and Daniel J. Underwood; his great grandchildren, Liam McCall, Isaiah Brady, Aurelia McCall and Millie Holcomb; his sister Nancy Pauline Furr of Albemarle; and his sister-in-law Frances I. Furr of Albemarle. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Porter United Methodist Church.
