He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Jacob Efird and Mary Jane Floyd Efird; and his brothers, Jack, Lewis, Harvol, Floyd Lee, Gary and William.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Ramelle Efird of Albemarle, NC; his children, Barbara Elaine Faulkner, Wanda Spearen (Will), Amy Beard (David), Mark Arthur Efird and Joel Edward Efird (Jodi); and his siblings, Gene Efird, Cassie Eddins and Judy Morton (Tony). He is also survived by grandchildren and 30 plus great grandchildren, and 1 set of great-great grandchildren.
